Meet Baker. This sweet guy was found at a tire shop by my daughter. He was very friendly but she noticed he was very thin and dirty. When she asked about him, they said he had been there for about a year. They said they had asked around the neighborhood if he belong to anyone and no one claimed him. They said they were not feeding him, which would explain why he was so thin. My grandson did not want to leave him there so he road home on his lap like a purrfect gentleman. I got to meet him today to complete his vaccines and microchip and was very surprised to see that he is at the very least part Japanese Bobtail. He does have about a 3 to 4 inch tail but he is tall and has the long hind legs. If he tail was a little more bobbed, he would look all Japanese Bobtail. My daughter said he likes to talk to you and loves to be around people, both personalities of a JB. We are not recommending children, although he is good with my grandchildren but he can easily get stressed and gets a little temperamental. We have only had him a little over two weeks and that is improving and we feel will go away once he feels secure and safe. We feel he would make someone a great companion. He is FIV/Leukemia negative, current on vaccines, flea and worm treated and microchip. The vet felt that he was about 4 years old so we gave him a DOB of 7/15/2017. He weighed almost 9 pounds at his vet appointment but he is putting weight on and the vet felt he should easily weigh between 12 and 14 pounds. Please share his story so he may find a forever home. He loves being indoors and has been great using the litterbox.
