UPDATE: Shay was adopted with his brother Sheldon in July 2011 but a couple months after they went home, Shay starting have loose stools. The family took him to the vet and several treatments were tried. It would work for a few days and they he would have the problem again. They family returned both Shay and Sheldon because they felt they could not deal with the problem. We took them back and put them on Pro Plan Turkey and Rice Indoor recipe because we have have found it to be very easy on cats with sensitive systems. We kept Shay on it for two weeks and he did great. We then offered him some cat food with chicken in it and his problems returned. We went right back to the Pro Plan and within three days, he was back to normal with no treatments required. So, it would seemed that Shay has a chicken allergy as he has also done fine with beef. They are wonderful, loving and actually very comical boys that do need about three days to adjust to a new enviroment.
More about Shay
Special Needs: Shay/Digit will need to remain on a Turkey based diet and not be fed Chicken. He has also never had any seafood so we would not recommend it for him.
