Kanella is a sweet little cuddle bug that is looking for a special family. She is the result of Merle-Merle breeding, often called a "double dilute" or "lethal white" Australian Shepard who cannot hear, and is sight impaired. Don't let her "disability" fool you as she is far from disabled. She runs and plays with other dogs, jumps and plays in baby pools and walks around in public nicely on a leash greeting every stranger she can meet.

She is completely social with dogs of all sizes and has no reaction to cats. She is house trained and crate trained but will need to re-visit these in her new home so she understands what is expected of her in a new enviornment.

Kanella does not exhibit any OCD behaviors that can be common in lethal whites but she does seek companionship in touch, as this, and smell are her 2 most active senses. Because of this, Kanella will do best in a home with at least 1 other dog who understands pack mentality and wouldn't mind Kanella "clinging on".

She is working on training with her foster mom and is responding great to touch and some visual signs.

There are no prolonged health issues that a potential adopter needs to be aware of, she just needs a loving understanding family to show her the world and understand that she often stops traffic when she is in public and is a walking example of overcoming obstacles.

Kanella is a high drive herding breed but is not the typical Aussie. She is lower energy and would rather be laying on the couch watching TV with her human instead of being outside with the other dogs. She is current on vaccines, flea and worm treated, heartworm negative and on preventative and microchipped.  The vet feels her approx. DOB is 8/14/2010.
