Oakley was found in a feral colony.  We were asked to help trap and fix a colony of about 30 cats and when we went out to trap, Oakley was the first caught we saw.  He was so sick and did not run from us.  We picked him up and took him to the vet fearing that he was to sick to make it.  His eyes lids were so swollen we thought that he did not have any eyes.  The vet felt that we could help him and he was certainly not feral and loved all the attention right away.  It took about a month to get him healthy enough for surgery to be neutered and have one eye removed.  He had a rough recovery and the stress of wearing a cone for two weeks caused him to loose a lot of hair.  He is now fully recovered, his hair is growing back in and he has remained as loving and playful as ever through all of his treatment.  He is FIV/Leukeimia negative, current on vaccines, flea and worm treated and microchip.  His approx. DOB is 6/15/2014.
